Here I will tell you of my journey through Art of Crochet.  Where knots and hooks reign.  And everything is bound in endless chains.  Honestly you might think we are truly loopy around here.  I do weave my fair share of bumps and kinks, but what else would you expect from a Knotty Hooker!  ^_^

One of the fascinating things I love about Crochet is that we don't truly know it's whole history.  Crochet is only one of the crafts many names.  The term Crochet is also used by the Belgians, French, Italians and Spanish-speaking people.  In haekling; in Holland it is known as haken, Norway it is hekling and virkning in Sweden. The art of various forms of needlework have been called by many names: "needle -knitting, netting, weaving, twisting, braiding, knotting - have been called by many names throughout history. They include needle-coiling, knotless netting, cross-knit looping, looped needle-netting, vatsom, coptic knitting, naalebinding, Tunisian crochet, tambour, needle lace, lace making, tatting, macrame, sprang and shepherd's knitting."  (History of Crochet by Ruthie Marks)
Denmark the art is called

I know the art has progressed far beyond its original beginnings.  I myself have learned and modified my own technique as well as patterns to create even better creations.  So this blog is document my journey and knowledge through this amazing and beautiful art.
